Cold brew tea is made by steeping tea leaves in cold water. This method reduces the extraction of tannins (bitterness) that are more prevalent at high temperatures, resulting in a smooth, sweet flavor and aromatic profile.
The preparation is simple. Just add tea leaves (4-5 teaspoons per liter of water) to a cold brew bottle, fill it with water, and let it sit in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours before straining. Mild teas and fruity flavored teas pair well with this method.
