Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how TEA’s BIBLE (“this site”) handles information about the people who use it.
1. Information we collect
(1) Information received from external services when you sign in
You can sign in with a Google, LINE, or X (Twitter) account. When you do, we may receive an identifier for your account, your display name, your email address, and your profile image from that service. Exactly which items we receive depends on the service and on what you approved on its consent screen.
We never receive your password.
(2) Information you enter or post
- Your profile (display name, bio, Instagram and X account names)
- Reviews (rating, title, body)
- Photos attached to reviews
- Reports you submit about other people’s reviews
- The contents of enquiries, and any email address you give for a reply
(3) Information collected automatically
- IP address — stored temporarily so that we can count requests and stop bursts of automated posting.
- Access logs (time, page viewed, browser type, and similar)
- Cookies and similar technologies (see section 5)
2. Location data in photos
Photos taken on a phone often carry the location where they were taken (GPS) and the time inside the file. Before storing an uploaded photo, this site always re-encodes the image and removes that data. The published image cannot be used to find where the photo was taken.
3. How we use the information
- Signing you in and identifying your account
- Displaying the reviews and photos you post
- Detecting and acting on inappropriate posts
- Showing the site in Japanese and English (machine translation)
- Preventing abuse and bulk submission
- Responding to enquiries
- Understanding how the site is used, and improving it
- Serving advertising and measuring its effect
4. External services
For the purposes above, this site uses the following external services. Information is sent to them in the course of that use.
| Service | What is sent, and why |
|---|---|
| OpenAI | The title, body and photos of posted reviews, and product information. Sent so that inappropriate content can be detected and so that text can be translated between Japanese and English. |
| Google (Analytics and Ads) | Pages viewed, IP address, cookie identifiers and similar. Used for analytics and for serving and measuring advertising. |
| OpenStreetMap | On pages that show a map, your IP address is sent in order to fetch the map images. |
| Google / LINE / X | Authentication is exchanged with whichever service you choose to sign in with. |
Apart from the above, we do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
5. Cookies
This site uses cookies for the following purposes.
- Keeping you signed in — required for the site to work.
- Analytics (Google Analytics)
- Serving and measuring advertising (Google Ads) — these may be used to show you advertising on other sites after you have visited this one.
You can disable cookies in your browser. If you disable the cookie that keeps you signed in, features that require an account will not work.
Google’s use of advertising cookies can be turned off from Google Ads Settings.
6. Retention and deletion
- You can delete your own reviews and photos at any time.
- To delete your account, please get in touch using the form in section 8. We will delete the information associated with it.
- IP addresses kept for abuse prevention fall out of the counting window after a period of time.
7. Security
Information is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to it is limited to the site operator.
8. Disclosure, correction, deletion, and contact
To request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of personal information we hold, please use the contact form. We will respond in accordance with applicable law once we can confirm the request comes from you.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised as needed. Any revision takes effect when it is published on this page.
