High-grown
Tea from high elevations — above roughly 1,200m in Sri Lanka.
High-grown refers to tea from high elevations. In Sri Lanka that means gardens above roughly 1,200m, including Nuwara Eliya, Uva and Dimbula.
Cool nights and a wide day-night temperature range slow the plant down. The result tends to be aromatic, with a bright, light liquor.
