TEA’s BIBLE

Medium-grown

Mid-elevation tea — roughly 600 to 1,200m in Sri Lanka.

Medium-grown covers Sri Lankan gardens at roughly 600 to 1,200m. Kandy is the best-known example.

It has neither the pronounced aroma of high-grown tea nor the weight of low-grown. Gentle in astringency and easy to drink, it also serves as a base for blends.
