Golden tip
Bud that has turned golden during manufacture. Teas rich in it often taste sweet.
Golden tips are leaf buds that have turned gold during processing. Buds are rich in compounds, and teas containing many of them tend to be sweet and mellow.
They are prominent in Yunnan's Dianhong and in better Assams. The 'Golden' in grade codes refers to exactly this.
