🍂 Grades & leaf
Fannings / Dust
Fannings and dust are finer tea leaves that brew very quickly, primarily used in tea bags.
Fannings are smaller than broken leaves, while dust is the finest grade of tea particles. Although often misunderstood as inferior due to their names, these classifications refer to size rather than quality.
Their quick brewing time, typically taking only seconds to a minute to extract flavor and color, makes them ideal for tea bags. High-quality dust is also valued in local chai cultures.
